I'm Luis, a Product Designer based in Portugal. I design products and then I build them.
Over 12+ years I went from communication design to product, drawn to the messy problems: payments, platforms, tools that real operations depend on. Along the way I picked up the engineering side, so today I take products from first sketch to production code myself.
I like to be in early, while the problem is still fuzzy. Understand the constraints, define the system, shape the thing before anyone draws screens. Then ship it, watch how people actually use it, and fix what the plan got wrong.

Start with the real problem
"Improve the UX" isn't a brief. I ask questions until we can name the actual problem in one sentence. It saves weeks, and everyone downstream works with more clarity.
Find the decision that matters
Every project has one or two choices that everything else hangs on. I try to find them early, because I've watched projects polish details around a broken core.
System before screens
Structure, states and rules first; screens after. I learned this the hard way: products I designed screen-by-screen broke the first time they had to grow.
Watch what people do
Feedback tells you what people think; usage tells you what they do. I ship, watch, and change what the plan got wrong. Including my own ideas.
